I began teaching biology at Yakima Valley College (YVC) in 2005. One of my favorite courses to teach is Cell and Molecular. In this course we explore interesting questions of genetics, cancer and the future of biotechnology. In addition, YVC offers a wide variety of biology courses for students pursuing health science careers or transferring to a university. Our program is continually creating new opportunities for students including undergraduate research, fieldtrips, access to mentors and study resources.
