Dan Sisk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Washington State University. Dan worked as a scientist, research engineer, and manager at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland for nearly 28 years, developing solutions in radiation detection, radiation safety, homeland and national security, and energy efficiency. During his time at PNNL, Dan assisted in the cleanup of the Three Mile Island and Chernobyl nuclear power plants and led an engineering team that built one-of-a-kind instruments for scientific research. Dan’s efforts resulted in three U.S. patents and a national technology award. After PNNL, Dan taught science at Pasco High School before coming to Heritage University over three years ago to lead the engineering program. Dan is also the co-coordinator of the College in the High School program at Heritage.
